Large leakproof Talli stainless steel lunchbox with a removable divider

Are stainless steel lunchbox compartments leakproof too?

You want to carry lunch in your bag without leaks. But will yoghurt and sandwiches also stay separate inside one lunchbox? These are different questions: does the box seal against leaks outside, and do the compartments seal against one another?

The seal around the lid

Our round leakproof lunchbox, square leakproof lunchbox and large leakproof lunchbox with a divider have a silicone seal in the lid. This seals the joint between the box and its lid.

A divider organises the space

The adjustable divider in the large lunchbox creates two compartments. You can move it or remove it to give different parts of your lunch their own place.

A divider is not automatically a watertight barrier. A seal around the outer edge does not, by itself, tell you whether two compartments seal against each other. To keep liquid food separate, use an individually sealed container suitable for that food.

Check before taking it with you

  1. Check that the silicone seal sits correctly all the way around the lid.
  2. Keep the seal and closing surfaces free of food scraps.
  3. Put the lid on straight and close every clip.
  4. Check your chosen layout at home with your own lunch before putting the box in your bag.

A model without a seal

An all-steel model without a seal is a different choice. The 3-in-1 lunchbox, for example, is not leakproof. Choose according to the food you want to carry.
