A stainless steel lunchbox is easy to keep clean. Give the lid some attention too and, if your model has one, its removable silicone seal.
Cleaning after use
- Remove food scraps and take out loose containers or a removable divider.
- Wash with washing-up liquid and a soft sponge or brush. Talli's stainless steel lunchboxes can also go in the dishwasher.
- Rinse well and let all parts dry fully before storing them.
Avoid steel wool and harsh chlorine-based cleaners. Soak dried-on food first instead.
The removable silicone seal
If your lunchbox has a removable silicone seal, gently take it out of the lid so you can clean the seal and lid separately. Let both dry thoroughly, then put the seal back. Before use, check that it sits correctly all the way around.
This applies to models with a removable seal, such as our square leakproof lunchbox. Do not pull on parts that are fixed to a product.
What about the clips?
Keep the closing clips clean too. If your lunchbox closes too tightly or too loosely, see our clip adjustment guide. Clip designs vary by model; do not force a closure.
Stickers on your lunchbox
For a lunchbox with stickers, also follow the instructions for Talli's stickers, including the waiting time after applying them.
Something is damaged
Cleaning will not repair a torn seal or damaged closure. Contact us with your order number and a short description of the problem. If the product is damaged, include a clear photo of the damage.
